This National Park is located at 16 km (Munnar) and widespread over an area of 97 km (RajaMali). Eravikulam National Park is having a wide range collection of floras and faunas which are rare to see. This park is established in the year 1975 to conserve the rare Atlas Moth, leopards, tigers, lion-tailed macaque and more wild animals. The landscapes are famous for valleys and grass lands; every vogue’s can experience the best in Erivikulam National Park.
The name Devikulam for this hill station is derived because it’s located near Devikulam Lake in city. The major attraction of this hill station is wide collection of exotic flora, verdant lawns which embraces the mind of refreshment. These peaks are the highest peaks in south India located inside Eravikulam National Park with a height over 2700 m. Permissions from forest and wildlife authorities are required for every trek to climb the mountains.
